Me My Mine

The difference between school and life? In school, you are taught a lesson and then given a test. In life, you are given a test that teaches you a lesson.  This quote describes exactly about me and the best quote I have ever read as well.

My name is Emily Ly. I am half Cambodian and half Chinese whose ancestor originally came from China during the World War II. I was born in Phnom Penh which is the capital city of Cambodia. It is located in south east Asia which is between Thailand and Vietnam. I can speak three languages, such as Khmer(Cambodian language), Chinese Mandarin, and English. Before I came to New Zealand, I used to live in Vietnam for 2 years when i was 12 years old for the operation and cured my first stage's cancer. As my dad also has got cancer, so we both had to go Vietnam frequently at that time. Despite suffering a lot of life problems, it informs me how to be strength and persistence to do something hard or achieve the further goals. In order to complete your target, you have to have "Can Do" attitude as well as be able to meet tight deadline.

I likes travelling a lot. I have been to  few countries in Asia, such as Singapore, Laos, Vietnam and Australia. I would love to travel around the world one day if I had enough money to hunt exotic experiences, such as chasing penguins in Antarctica, and roaming around Safari world  in South Africa. I wouldn't like to visit jungle at all, because I am petrified of insects. For example sweat bees, sand flies or leeches.

I came here to study English when I was 15 years old by myself. I used to study in high school in south Auckland for 2 years. Because of  English is my  third languages, so I did not pass the NCEA exam and was not be able to meet university entry. Therefore I decided to come back Unitec pursuing my education. It is essential that my comprehension and writing are good enough to get into Bachelor's degree. I am an active person as I am both working part time and studying full time. I don't mind to work hard at the young age, because i hope i can retire at the age of 40 and travel around the world.

In spite of having a busy life, I also have to study hard in order to fulfil my dream's desire. I like to dream big and make my dreams as excited to me as possible, Cause I will put in commitment to achieve them. Therefore it is the keys  to persuade my motivation. Stop waiting for things to happen, go out and make them happen.
